Support Tupper Arts' "Encore" Capital Campaign
PRESS RELEASE - ENCORE CAPITAL CAMPAIGN UPDATE (12/31/23)
Tupper Arts is delighted to announce that the Encore Campaign to raise funds to purchase the Adirondack State Theater has been a huge success. The support from the community has been overwhelmingly strong. The anonymous matching donation of $75,000 has been met, even exceeding our goal of $200,000. Locals, visitors, and seasonal residents have stepped up to save this important resource in Tupper Lake. Tupper Arts will be closing on the property shortly and looks forward to beginning renovations on this iconic structure. Susan Delehanty, Chair of the Tupper Arts Board of Directors, expresses her gratitude to the community for making this campaign so successful, “ We are so grateful to everyone who has supported this cause. Thanks to their generosity, the Adirondack State Theater will be saved and will continue to serve the community for the next century.”

Meet Our Donors

January, 2022: Since 1986, Stewart's Shops has been dedicated to giving back to communities through generous donations. In 2022, Tupper Arts was a lucky recipient of a $25,000 great to help go towards our renovation project.

January, 2022: The Cloudsplitter Foundation has awarded Tupper Arts a $25,000 grant to assist with our renovation costs, in line with the Foundation's dedication to improving the lives of those living in the Adirondacks.

August, 2021: They may only spend part of the year near Tupper Lake, yet seasonal homeowners cherish Tupper Arts as an integral cultural cornerstone of the community. They stepped up with substantial support to ensure that Tupper Arts can survive and thrive year-round. One homeowner pledged a $50,000 multiyear contribution to support operational expenses. Another challenged seasonal homeowners to match a $30,000 donation for the Capital Campaign to purchase and renovate the Arts Center.

August, 2021: A third $25,000 donation from “Mr. Anonymous” along with matching contributions helped to meet the Aseel Legacy Foundation match, bringing the current total to $118,320. Another anonymous donor has offered to help Tupper Arts finance the purchase price of the building, for which a closing date will be announced soon.

August, 2021: Thanks to everyone who has donated so far, we have raised over $25,000 for our Capital Campaign, meaning that we have also matched the generous donation from Joe and Rena Sellin of Gull Pond, making our current total over $51,000!

May, 2021: Our next $25,000 pledge to match future donations is from the Aseel Legacy Fund, who "wishes to promote sustainable projects that will enhance and improve the Tupper Lake community and lifestyle of its residents."
